This was our first trip to Rome. We had a great pleasure to stay at Relais Maddalena. The staff was so hospital starting from welcome by Selena, and continued by Francesco and Rita. In addition to this, the location is just perfect, close to everything even without using the transportation (except to the Vatican). The room was very quiet thanks to double sound protected window

La situation géographique de l'hôtel et la trés grande gentillesse du personnel.

Fantastiskt boende i 1600-tals hus med utsikt mot en fantastiskt vacker kyrka. Rummet var stort och högt i tak, cozy cozy. Mitt i centrala delen av Rom. Sängarna var väldigt bekväma så man sov gott om nätterna! Hit återvänder man gärna!! Fick ett väldigt gott och fint mottagande

- The staircase might be difficult for some but the staff carried cases and organised transport for our journey to the airport + The hotel is approached via a rather old somewhat tatty green door, you enter via a rather dark and quite steep stone staircase. However once inside it is like entering another world. Beautifully decorated and very stylish. The staff were friendly and really helpful with suggestions of where to eat etc.

Pour la visite de la ville, pour de bons marcheurs comptez 20/25 minutes a pieds pour aller au Vatican, idem pour Colysée / Forum. Ne réfléchissez pas, oubliez les grands hotels et les chaines internationnales, cet endroit est parfait pour visiter Rome !!” - 1 seul chaine TV en Francais (mais honnetement on ne va pas a Rome pour regarder la TV...)

This place is amazing. Central to everywhere... Took no longer than 20 minutes to walk to all tourist locations. The owner is a lovely man, very helpful and accommodating. Selena on the concierge desk is so helpful. She will arrange and advice on everything. Communication before during and after is superb. I travelled with my 17 year old daughter, we stayed for two nights and really wish it was more. We will definitely be returning to this accommodation and would recommend to anyone.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the end of a 2.5 week trip in Europe, and I must say this was our favorite hotel. The location is great, in a piazza not far from the Pantheon. This location was also near restaurants, shopping, but was very quiet at night. The breakfast in the morning was light, but very fresh and a good selection. The room was an OK size (we booked a standard), but we were hardly there. The bathroom was also nice and modern. Would definitely stay again if we go back

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in in Rome. Not the most expensive, nor the most extravagant.....simply the most superb location, with impeccable service and immaculately maintained. We experienced the full buzz of Rome's café culture in the daytime and evenings, followed by absolute tranquillity and (traffic-free) relaxation overnight - a perfect environmental ambience!! The "simple continental" breakfast is a delightful cornucopia of freshness.... We will be back.......

My husband and I loved the size of the room which was upgraded on our arrival. The bathroom had a tub and a rain-shower head. Everything in the room has been updated. We had no issues with internet access. Pictures posted on the internet perfectly represent what to expect from your stay. Staff was nice and helpful. The owner had very good recommendations about local attractions. Consider this place like a beautiful B&B. It is not a typical hotel where you can reach someone on staff 24 hours. Staff leaves at 5 pm. but make themselves available based on guest needs. We definitely would go back to stay there again!

We stayed at Relais Maddalena Camere for two nights last week. The staff there were incredibly welcoming, and the room we had was exceptional. The ceilings must have been 15 feet high, or more, and decorated with a wonderful design. Our beds were very comfortable, and beautiful. Our room looked out to a fascinating courtyard, with two restaurants, and a gorgeous church. It was an interesting lively place, but at night, the windows were more than capable of providing silence so that we could sleep. The breakfast area was sunny and cheerful, and the spread was delicious. We were very centrally located, so were able to walk to all the sights we had selected. There was a taxi stand nearby for more distant ventures, like the Vatican. All in all, our stay was perfect, and I would stay at Relais Maddalena again in a heartbeat!

This was such a wonderful surprise behind those beautiful big green doors. Don't be deceived by the entrance!! Once upstairs the rooms are classic but modern. Work has been done to ensure the plumbing, electricity and air conditioning all work fabulously! A treat in Rome!! So convenient too. Just behind the Pantheon! I walked everywhere. Spanish steps, to the Colosseum

Relais Madellena was a fabulous hotel to stay in, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the room was perfect with gorgeous view of the Piazza below. It was both a character boutique experience, but also with the latest facilities. The breakfast was superb

Un emplacement idéal, à 2 pas du Panthéon. L'accueil a été parfait. La chambre très bien, très propre et la litterie de très bonne qualité. La salle de bain très propre. Pour finir, petit déjeuner génial, dans une salle avec vue sur l'église de la Maddalena. Fruits frais et patisseries maison... Un bonheur !

Charming hotel in an ideal location for seeing all the sights of Rome. Close to the Pantheon and Piazza Navonna. Francesco and his staff were very friendly and helpful. Interior is very tasefully decorated, our room was lovely, overlooking Santa Maria Maddalena church in the piazza. San Crispino ice cream shop and Lindt chocolate shop also in the piazza

Location and room style were best. Managers were very helpful. Even my room was located nearby street, I kept my sleep vey well all through the night- soundproof facilaties were good-- Air conditioning did well. Bathroom daily-cleaning status was perfect !

This hotel is situated in a quiet square but 100 metres away is the Pantheon and the square there is abuzz with live entertainment during the day and night . There are many restaurants and very good shopping in the area as well. We loved coming back to our hotel each day after the hustle and bustle of Rome. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Breakfast was plentiful, rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious. The staff bent over backwards to assist us with any query we had. We will always come back to this hotel in the future

We loved everything about our stay at Relais Maddalena. The owner and his staff went out of their way to make our time in Rome really special. The location in the heart of the old city could not be better. Our room was extremely well appointed and comfortable and our view over the piazza was magical. The breakfasts were great. A reggeli bőséges, nagyon finom a kávé - café macchiato! A közelben minden van, a kis hentes üzlettől kezdve, éttermeken át Spar-ig bezárólag. Nagyon kellemesen éreztük magunkat, még visszatérünk! Perfect location next to Pantheon, practical starting point to every direction to visit the pearls of Rome. Wij hebben een week lang genoten van ons verblijf in Relais Maddalena. Niets dan lof voor accommodatie en personeel. En wat een ligging! Alles op loopafstand (hebben geen bus, geen metro gebruikt). Daarnaast legio eetgelegenheden om de hoek in alle prijsklassen. Kortom een aanrader 1ste klas

O hotel é ótimo muito confortável, fomos muito bem atendido, atenderam todas nossas necessidades e dispuseram informações preciosas. A localização é excelente, 1 quarteirão do Pantheon, proximo a centro de compras, poucos minutos do Coliseu e outras atrações, voltaria com certeza

Room: very clean. about 50% larger than other single rooms in Paris/London that I stayed during the trip. Francesco (owner) welcomed me and recommended where to eat and best way to walk back to shuttle bus. Gave me some tips on when to go to the attractions. Speaks English! Breakfast didn't have hot food except for toast but decent variety still for a small hotel breakfast. The lady makes a good cappuccino tho! The place is not quite like a hotel as one would be used to but more like a semi apartment building. Reception is a desk in a room and is open from morning till early evening. A wireless printer is there. Internet worked good. Vatican and Collesseum is 25 mins walk

The location was excellent, within 20 mins walk of all the sights. The Pantheon was less than 1 min away and there are plenty of nice restaurants near by. The staff were very friendly and very helpful with anything we required. Would recommend highly

We stayed here for 4 nights in early August 2014 and were pleasantly surprised by how close it was to all major sights in Rome. The Pantheon was a 30 sec walk, while the Vatican, Colosseum and Spanish Steps were 20-30 minutes by walk. The host, Francesco, went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. He proactively reached out to us a few days before our arrival and offered to arrange for transportation to the hotel, which we took. When there was a wi-fi outage at 10 PM, he looked into it personally and had it fixed. Overall, had a great experience and would highly recommend the place.

Accueil extrêmement chaleureux malgré une heure d'arrivée tardive, hotel très bien situé (à côté du panthéon) ce qui permet de tout visiter à pied, petit déjeuner riche avec des spécialités locales et chambre confortable, décorée avec goût. Très romantique!

...The rooms are extremely comfortable and quite spacious by Rome standards, bathrooms are pristine, air conditioning works without a hitch. Enticing pictures of the interior you can find on the hotel's Web site fully correspond to reality. The hotel faces the beautiful Baroque facade of St. Maddalena church, and the small square in front of it also features another Francesco's establishment, an ice cream shop, also highly recommended. Francesco is a charming host, he speaks fluent English and can easily help you with advice regarding travel, eating and shopping in the eternal city...

+ “This is the perfect place to stay in Rome. The location cannot be beat--on a small, interesting square within a stone's throw of the Pantheon. The building is very old (15th century) but the facilities inside are modern and very comfortable, even though it may not seem like it as you enter the building. The staff and owner are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay wonderful.” - If you leave your window open it can be a bit noisy if your room faces the square; but if you close the window this is no issue.

This was our first family visit to Rome and I hope we will return soon! It is a wonderful City, Relais Maddalena was perfect in every way and we would highly recommend it! We had two short days in Rome before embarking on a cruise. Selena not only greeted us early at 11am with a room already available for check-in (grateful after our 10 hour flight)... she gave us a complimentary upgrade & prosseco to acknowledge our 25th wedding anniversary!! The Relais Maddalena provided personal attention and comfort beyond our expectations. The location was so beautiful..lively and authentic...we were comfortable exploring the streets at all hours of day & night. We would return for every anniversary if possible!!!

Coccolata all'interno di una piccola ma piacevolissima e confortevole stanza, dopo una pesante giornata di lavoro. Sprofonda in un sonno profondo, in un letto singolo comodissimo. Risvegliata da un’ottima colazione servita ina una luminosissima stanza con vista mozzafiato sulla facciata della chiesa di piazza della Maddalena. Un buon soggiorno romano, anche per chi si trova li per lavoro

E' situato in una posizione centralissima e ideale, al primo e secondo piano di un bel palazzo d'epoca, molto ben ristrutturato; gli infissi e i muri spessi proteggono ottimamente dal rumore esterno. Cortesia del personale e colazione buona sia dolce che salata, buon assortimento di cibi freschi

Io e mio marito abbiamo pernottato solo una notte, presso il Relais Maddalena. Pur se breve, è stata un'esperienza fantastica! Situato in un palazzo del 1600, completamente ristrutturato, il Relais è dotato di qualsiasi confort ed è tutto curato nei minimi dettagli! Travi in legno a vista, bagno in marmo, TV satellitare, frigo bar, e WI-FI gratis! Prima colazione continentale da urlo! Locato nella piazzetta della Maddalena, proprio dietro al Pantheon. Selena, alla reception, e Rita nella sala colazioni, sono state eccezionali! Consiglio a tutti questa fantastica struttura! Giusy
